The day begins, a road movie starts, as religious fervour and insane misogyny are narrated in passing.。影片的背景设定在1999年，主要讲述了一群少年在二十世纪的最后一年里，用各种匪夷所思的方式度过他们在高中的最后一天。。医生林晚意向相恋多年的男友慕云深求婚。然而慕云深在一场救治中职业暴露，他决心不让自己拖累林晚意。于是找许露演戏，林晚意被他一次次伤害，渐渐受伤心冷。最终，林晚意彻底心死离开，奔赴国外。另一边，慕云深得知自己没有感染，想要追回林晚意。。
