高丽时代的朝鲜，一个长年干旱的村子里，村民严守着老人年过七十就该被丢弃在山上的高丽葬传统。 一天一位寡妇带着自己的孩子嫁进村里，对方是结过五次婚、有着十个孩子的农民。农民的前妻之一、村里的萨满，多年前被十兄弟赶出家门，一直怀恨在心，于是她预言，寡妇的儿子将把十兄弟全部杀光。十兄弟听闻十分害怕，开始排挤寡妇的儿子，并将他弄成了跛子。为了自己儿子的性命，寡妇向农民要了一小块地，带着孩子离开了农民家。 往后的三十多年里，十兄弟一直想尽办法要致寡妇儿子于死地。饥荒再次来临，而寡妇也到了该被送上山等死的年纪......。Even today, in order to create a sculpture in bronze, it is necessary to take the same steps taken in the fifth century BC for the Riace bronzes.
