好莱坞著名演员尼克兰决定改变银幕形象，因而接下一个警探的角色。为了演好这个角色，他到纽约与一位真正的凶杀组刑警约翰摩斯，共同生活两个星期，以体验警探真实的生活。但摩斯一点也不欢迎这位大明星，却碍于上司的命令，只得带著他一起去追捕一位连续杀人的罪犯，结果每次设计好的诱捕计划都被笨手笨脚的尼克兰搞砸了。。故事开始讲述了富家大少爷“咸鱼哥”因为过于奢靡的生活作风被父亲扫地出门，被迫开始来姨妈家打工养活自己的日常故事。天生自带“丧”的特质，没了以前的少爷生活，打工让他体会到了穷，但浪还是要一样的浪。这里的岛民与众不同，咸鱼哥和他们每天都发生着爆笑的故事。。Is it just another evening at the hugely popular Italian restaurant of proprietor and bookmaker Louis Cropa in New York?
