影片讲述生活在城市底层的男人们之间可悲又可笑的友情故事：山田孝之饰演的是一个身处艰辛世道却仍宁折不弯、一见到酒馆里大吵大嚷的年轻人就会发脾气的男人权藤右近。唯一与右近能相处得来的，是做着掘金工作、善良老实的牛山（荒川良良饰）。而右近的弟弟——身为商务精英的左近（佐藤健饰）则对两人虽收入甚微却自由自在的生活深感羡慕。 一天，右近和牛山在住所旁边的废弃场捡到一个旧机器人。左近研究发现这个机器人可能是凌驾于现代科学的高科技产品，于是三人开始尝试利用机器人的性能进行掘金……。在经历了痛苦的分手后，一位年轻的律师在好友的大力支持下，一头扎进了现代约会的混乱世界。。After the relatively low box office takings of 'Intolerance', D. The first of the two was 'The Fall of Babylon', which depicts the conflict between Prince Belshazzar of Babylon and Cyrus the Great of Persia.。
