剧情是描写一个自小与姐姐相依为命的青年女学生亚伦，为了给待在闺中的姐姐谋幸福，决定给她登报征婚，华侨富商应征，姐姐反感之余更气跑了富商，富商遂派其孙儿祖培想办法撮合，祖培与亚伦结交成好友，后来更成为恋人，尽管她姐姐多方制止，他两人终于在祖培行将上飞机离开之际，得偿所愿。。Sophia Loren stars as Phaedra, a poor sponge diver on the lovely Greek isle of Hydra. While diving, she discovers an ancient brass and gold stature of a boy riding a dolphin, which is said to have the magical power to grant wishes.
