之后的工作过程中，龙飞发现烈士蒋仁被捕之事居然和鸽子有着千丝万缕的关联。在应山红的配合下，龙飞找到了证人杜胜奎、孔雀、和红隼等人，并从他们口中得到了重要证据。但是，龙飞的工作过程却时而清晰可见，时而扑朔迷离。
