奥斯卡是一个居住在大城市聪明的股票经纪人，丹尼则是一个傻乎乎的懒鬼从死气沉沉的地方度日，他们是兄弟。 现在他们分享已故父亲的财产，一个失败的乡村风情餐厅而且在偏僻的地方。。Photographer Greg Nolan meets Bernice, and loses both his job and his apartment. However, Bernice manages to get him a new apartment, but it is so expensive that he has to get two full-time jobs. Nolan has trouble finding time to do them both without his bosses finding out.。
