一部演員搭配頗為特別的冤家喜劇。《變男變女變變變》的艾倫芭金扮演歌劇女高音瓊安，因為公寓遭人洗劫，洛杉磯當地又有女性殺手橫行，於是搬去與妹妹安蒂同住。不料安蒂正要動手術，還是留下瓊安在公寓獨居。她為了安全起見，聘請了公司派員保護，於是行事古怪的傑克．尼柯遜便帶著一條德國牧羊犬前來護花。兩人相處日久漸生情愫，不料新的意外又發生了。。Two young men (Jon Cryer, Rick Stear) who have been friends since early childhood decide to go on a trip to find a third friend (Rafael Baez) who has long since disappeared. Stories they have heard indicate that the friend has been seen in an apparently rambling, incoherent state at Coney Island.
