麻田首相袭击事件和西岛勇司（飯田基祐 饰）的自杀事件，彻底将日本的命运推向了一个岔路口。革命前34小时，终日绷紧神经的SP们得到了难得的假日。山本隆文（松尾諭 饰）与女友约会；石田光男（神尾佑 饰）和女儿度过愉快的假期；脑部神经接近崩溃的井上薰（岡田准一 饰）偶遇笹本绘里（真木よう子 饰）；而尾形总一郎（堤真一 饰）则待在家中，等待着人生最重要的时刻。另一方面，伊达国雄（香川照之 饰）及其党羽为了次日的革命作着最后的冲刺，而公安方面也在加快步伐调查伊达和尾形的背景。
这是革命前最后的平静时光，晴空万里下暗潮涌动……。The film was written and directed by Stuart Urban, and commissioned to mark the tenth anniversary of the Falklands War. The film was closely based on the historical record, and all of the major incidents portrayed were drawn from contemporary accounts by those who took part. Filming took place on the Falkland Islands and at Ealing Studios. Urban is a fluent Spanish-speaker, and plays an uncredited role as the Argentine radio operator.。
